The Holistic Approach

Serenity Light Recovery stands apart from other recovery programs because of our holistic approach to treatment. We understand that true recovery encompasses the healing of your mind, body and soul.

To that end, we offer a host of fully integrated holistic therapies in addition to individual and group sessions that are proven to help clients access their truest selves in their new way of life.

Serenity Light Recovery
What are the benefits of holistic therapy?

The definition of holistic, according to the dictionary, is “relating to or concerned with wholes or with complete systems rather than with the analysis of, treatment of, or dissection into parts.” Here at Serenity Light Recovery, we are committed to helping you focus on your entire self, not just one part. Holistic treatments can bring both physical and mental relief during the withdrawal process from drugs or alcohol, which can often be a painful one.

When you engage in remedies like yoga, meditation or massage, the goal is to not focus on your discomfort, but on how each movement affects your body and how to be mindful in accepting and overcoming any challenges faced in those moments.

In addition, skills learned via holistic approaches are ones that can be beneficial outside of treatment for the rest of your life. Experiencing yoga or engaging in an exercise routine are positive habits that will help keep you on track, they create healthy coping skills and distractions from cravings and provide welcome stability. A physically and mentally healthy body has endless benefits, improving general health, relieving aches and pains, and keeping emotional and physical energy levels high.
